In our pursuit of precision, the physical examination is a crucial phase of our 3D bike fitting process. We delve beneath the surface, analyzing your body’s biomechanics, flexibility, and potential areas of concern.
Evaluation and visual analysis of pedaling in order to detect imbalance, discrepancies, hip rotations, etc.
Angles of the body, control of hip movement and correct foot alignment for greater performance in the transmission of force.
Visual analysis of pedaling in order to optimize a comfortable and efficient movement.
Review of pedal/shoe placement and check of cleats and shoes.
Alignment and adjustment of the saddle, handlebars and stem.
Evaluation of pressures on the saddle for its correct placement with Gebiomized.
Detailed video analysis for angle measurement.
Bring the following items to your custom fit session:
Expect to block at least two hours from your schedule. More is better so that we are not rushed. Every fitting session is as unique as the individual who is being fitted, and we take as long as necessary to complete the fit properly. Anywhere from one to three hours is possible depending on your specific needs.
You are a part of the fitting session and will take an active role in the process. Our sessions are very dynamic, and We will work together to explain the reasons behind the process of fitting because we want you to understand why we do what we do and what is expected of you afterwards. Please ask questions!
Yes, we work evenings and weekends, however, Scheduling options vary by season. Call or email us when you would like to have the fitting done, and we will talk through the available time options.
Yes, foot/pedal position is one of the most important aspects of fitting. The alignment step is particularly important during the bike fitting process. We will assist in your decision in selecting the proper shoe in both design and fit. We will explain the pros & cons, answer your questions, and explain what shoes work best with which pedals.
Fitting is an ongoing process because riders evolve as they ride. For example, new cyclists tend to relax a bit as they get used to their new bicycle and sometimes need to change their fit. Injuries can lead to fitting changes as well as numerous other issues. Unless something specific takes place, annual fittings are a good idea to re-evaluate your position and discuss any issues that have come about since the last fit. Some riders are happy and comfortable in the same position for years. It’s all up to the individual.
Yes, the frame must be the same geometry to copy the measurements. We can easily do it for you once the fitting is completed. An additional fee may apply but we will discuss that during the fitting process.
